What are All-On-4 implants?

Poor oral hygiene can lead to a peri-implant disease, which is an infection around the implant. This infection is caused by bacteria that are not removed by brushing and flossing. The infection can eventually lead to bone loss, which will cause the implant to become loose and possibly even fall out.

The good news is that even if a patient does not seem like a good fit at first, there are procedures that can prepare a patient to receive these implants. For example, for patients who do not have enough bone density in the jaw, bone grafting is an option. This procedure involves grafting bone from another part of the body to the jaw. This can help the jaw to support the implants. A patient can also have gum grafting surgery if there is not enough gum tissue.
